Event Planning Intern

Our Voice is committed to changing the political landscape by empowering others to run for office and become more active in politics. Our Voice is a post-partisan movement, operating outside of political parties and uniting in an organized movement for change.
As an Event Planning Intern, you will be responsible for planning, logistics, scheduling, and coordinating all details for small to large scale events. Your responsibilities may include:
Researching public zoning and permit requirements
Partnering with our graphics departments to create advertisements for events
Schedule and coordinate travel
Arrange catering, decor, transportation, guests, equipment, and promotional materials
Gather site information and coordinate contracts with Legal staff
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
Partner with PR and marketing to advertise events
Creating and modifying documents using Google Documents or Microsoft Office
Solve problems and handle any events-related issues that arise
Complete other administrative duties as assigned
This role is open to all students, with preference given for Marketing and Business majors. Ideal candidates will have prior work experience in an Administrative, Operations, or Support functions, with event planning background strongly preferred.
This position begins May 1st and ends August 31st, with possible extensions for those who excel. This is an unpaid Internship.
