Our Voice is committed to changing the political landscape by empowering others to run for office and become more active in politics.  Our Voice is a post-partisan movement, operating outside of political parties and uniting in an organized movement for change.

As a Recruiter Intern, you will achieve recruiting objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates for open positions within the organization, partnering with Hiring Managers/Team Leaders and HR Liaisons.  

Recruiter Interns will work with Functional or Regional Team Leaders to identify, source, screen, and recruit high quality talent to the organization.  Duties may include:

  • Partnering with Team Leaders/Hiring Managers to solidify general role requirements and any special skills needed

  • Posting positions to college bulletin or job boards, volunteer databases, or other job posting sites as needed

  • Working with community resources, agencies, colleges, and internet resources to identify talent

  • Conduct Information Sessions to recruit talent and answer questions

  • Organize interview blitz days as needed to meet objectives

  • Determine applicant fit via pre-screening and resume review

  • Conduct first round interview with candidate

  • Describe, represent, and market the organization to prospective talent

  • Ensure an adequate flow of talent to Volunteer Coordinators and Team Leaders

  • Working on cross-functional teams and projects as assigned

  • Other duties as needed

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

  • Solid problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, Google Documents

  • Prior experience in recruiting for military, college, or volunteers

  • Experience interviewing candidates and assessing talent

  • Open to all students, but preference for Human Resources and Political Science majors
